Loparka's design was originally a contender in a contest I ran here a couple years ago. I always liked and remembered her design but was talked into awarding the original win to someone else. I regret this for the last few years and finally got in touch with her to make it right, and pay her for her excellent work! It is elegant, well composed, beautiful to look at and just the right touch of classic and modern. Mahalo Nui Loa from Hawaii!
How Dive Gear Online started their logo design journey
Dive Gear Online.com
We will be the newest, hottest site for scuba equipment and travel. We teach PADI (check out padi.com) Sites I have thought to emulate scubabasics.com (Nice clean design) scubatoys.com (good retail) leisurepro.com (want to be better than all these). As a facility we teach scuba, arrange group travel, repair and maintain equipment.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Scuba divers new and seasoned divers for equipment sales, 16 - 80 years old. Looking to have a site that a diver will refer to another diver. A professional individual will want to refer this site.
Logo will not only be web based but used as embroidery and screen printed for logo recognition. Logo must be able be used with transparent, color and photo backgrounds.
I like plain text, could incorporate water?, scuba equipment? geometrical waves?
Please see attached composition, all logos submitted must fit in upper left hand portion of in place of existing logo. Not real happy with the one I have now. Header size can be change if the right logo is submitted.
I don't want a plain jane logo, but my design talent is non-existant. Want this site to be THE site for scuba retail!
