Robin & Rose
We are launching an online boutique specializing in vintage and burlesque inspired clothing and accessories.
Robin & Rose will offer retro styled fashions for any occasion, from the casual, to the corporate and from the bedroom, to the burlesque stage. The boutique has a strong inclusive philosophy, welcoming customers from the petite to the plus size.
Our target audience is predominantly female, aged 25 to 35. Women with a unique sense of style, who have moved on from trend based fashions and want a more mature and classic image without surrendering their sex appeal or individual flair.
The boutique will be of special interest to women involved with the reviving art of burlesque dancing and to women involved in the hot rod and rockabilly scene and those who consider themselves ‘alternative’.
We are looking for a logo for use on our (yet to be created) website and on printed brochures/leaflets. We also intend to produce a T-shirt featuring the logo to promote the website.
It should contain the words “Robin & Rose” and possibly incorporate the byline “Put it on - Take it off”. You may choose to incorporate the image of a Robin Red Breast and Rose/s into the logo. My name is Briar, which is a type of wild rose so it would be meaningful if the logo featured this style of rose (Type ‘Briar Rose’ into Google images for visual examples.)
Some other images you might like to Google for inspiration include; Katy Keene paper doll, Sailor Jerry.com, Bill Wenzel, Elvgren, Vaudeville and Chinese painting
The style of the logo should have a vintage feel. The logo should be feminine, risqué, cute and a little bit quirky.
Colours – We would like to steer clear of the baby pink / black colour combination used by many of our competitors. The colours we favour are bright pink, coral red and aqua green. These colours are a guide only. We would like to see a logo that is bright & colourful, but with the ability to reproduce in two colours without losing too much of the visual clarity of the logo.
Please, no stock images or clip art. Final files in Illustrator and .jpg formats.
Thank you & have fun!
