Passport to Africa: Experience an Evening of Hope, Justice and Transformation
We are a small San Diego-based non-profit working with 50 rural communities in Uganda, East Africa to sustainably empower women & children to reach their full potential through improved health care, education and microenterprise.
In our short existence, we've been able to deliver dramatic results:
Our 4th birthday celebration and fundraiser will be a high-profile and intimate gala among celebrities, spiritual and personal development experts, and passionate supporters. We are bringing from Uganda, our primary partner on the ground who has helped us to achieve everything we've built. Her name is Sister Ernestine Akulu, a nun, nurse, founder of a big hospital and big visionary.
We want to transport guests to Africa "in spirit", so they may witness how their support has enabled the people of Uganda to find hope, enact justice and therefore dramatically transform the lives of thousands of people who would otherwise not have the opportunity to rise above their circumstances.
Our most passionate and long-term supporter/donors, celebrities, high profile spiritual and personal development experts, and other very special guests. This event is by invitation only, very exclusive.

(please note that this webpage is not published or available to the public)
The event logo will need to include the following:
1. Passport to Africa: Experience an Evening of Hope, Justice and Transformation
2. Thursday, October 28th
3. It should be whimsical, and communicate a sense of African culture - art, masks, dance, colors, etc. Should reflect a passion to make a difference, be compelling and enticing. It would be best to incorporate the colors from our logo and tone of our web site which can be viewed at http://www.JustLikeMyChild.org
Not a requirement, but it would ideal to include the shape of Africa and/or a dot to reflect Uganda's location - to communicate the event title/theme.
One idea we had is a retro looking travel theme, with some colorful African components mixed in. But we are open to your suggestions, based on 1-3 above.
Here are some examples we like of retro travel themes, colorful contrasts, and African themes:
