Great designer to work with! From the first design submission to the final selection. Had the ability to depict feeling and share a story through a logo that embodied everything we were looking for. Very responsive and willing to make adjustments. Great to work with. Thank you!!
Great design. Very talented designer.
Outstanding work! The final product was more than we could have initially imagined!

Open Field Message Bus (OpenFMB) is a data "bus" that leverages the Internet of Things (IoT) for fielded devices on an electrical distribution grid. It is all about INTEROPERABILITY - getting devices like transformers, switches, capacitor banks (cap banks), solar panels, inverters, batteries/storage devices, etc. to talk DIRECTLY to each other. This is a big shift for the electricity industry since it is currently a centralized system, where this brings DISTRIBUTED INTELLIGENCE to fielded devices.
I capitalized all the key aspects. I'm not sure what the right message is, but the key thing we are enabling is the distributed intelligence piece.
Our audience is utilities and utility vendors. The OpenFMB product itself is a utility standard. There will be many products that use the standard to enable new on-the-wire grid applications and retrofitting/unlocking legacy device features that were previously unavailable.

I really like the logo for OpenADR. It is simple. But, I also have logos designed here previously that I also love (GridIntellect and ChargeDefense). You will notice that all of these are pretty simple. And, they don't have a lot of colors, so they are easy to print on promotional materials.
I have a team of 50+ people working on this project. They are all volunteers. I will direct them to this site once the logos are completed and let them vote on them. These volunteers are engineers, software developers, utilities, and vendors.
This is really cool stuff. It is a game-changer for the utility industry. There are a ton of benefits - better integration of renewable energy resources, rapid prototyping and commercialization of new products and systems, lower communication latency, energy market enablement, and in general the ability to open up the grid to innovative solutions that we haven't even thought about yet.
