W.D. Goodwill Foundation
The Wilford and Dorthy Goodwill Family foundation was founded by Wilford Goodwill and dedicated to those who have fallen through the Cracks. Wilf Died last year from a fall in his own home at the age of 91. He attributed his good health to that time to being active in the community and life. He went to work every day, drove himself, until the day he died. His could often be found working around the house or office. He dedicated the remainder of his estate to helping the elderly as he felt this was a large gap in society that needed to be addressed. So many had no family and no means to care for themselves and he wanted to make a difference.
The foundation is a charity and is focused on grabbing the attention of the elderly, the first thought we would like the logo to illicit is care and compassion as well as our desire to take a hands on approach. The foundation helps seniors with things they can't do. It has established a large volunteer orginaztion. We always tell people, we're not looking to pay house payments or utility bills but if you need a new refrigerator or something done around the house, call us. No red tape, no beaurocracy, just let us get in there and do it. Wilford Goodwill would not have it any other way.
We're looking for something fresh and innovative that says we're "Hands On" with care and compassion. Our benifactors are all 65 and over.
