It's Magic (or it's magic.) needs a new logo

it's magic.

I am a corporate magician. I do close up and stage shows at high end galas, dinner parties and trade shows for corporate clients. I am not a children's performer and I do not do birthday parties.

An idea I was toying with is having the logo it's magic. with the period lighting the background and creating some sort of shadow effect. I am not a designer, that could be a horrible idea I'm not sure and I am definitely open to any cool ideas at this point.
I want this to be high end, different, a magician is different and mysterious and unique, so I want my logo and biz card to show that.
The logo should be sophisticated, and high end
I get hired by regular people organizing adult corporate xmas parties, however, I also target the marketing people at companies for trade shows. So the logo must be professional looking.
I have included a previous logo I once used the David Gabriel Banner.
Perhaps maybe revisiting this in a better smoke such as the smoke in the first image? Again just an idea, not sold on it. Sorry for the lack of direction I hope this is enough to go on.
