I am really pleased with the creative work that Bennington did for my new logo. Whilst there were many entries for my competition, Bennington's work stood out. He also took my feedback and created some alternative styles so that I could compare and contrast other logos. In the end the original design was clearly the best and most inspired and really captured the essence of my project. Bennington also went the extra mile in that he presented the logo in use on an example business card and web site header thus demonstrating how well the logo worked across different media.
Great work. Highly recommended.
How DZone started their logo design journey
MacFAQs or MacFAQs.com
MacFAQs.com is a brand new question and answer community for all things Apple, including Macs, iPhones and iPads. We need a logo and color scheme that shows how this logo will be used as the cornerstone of the community's identity. Visit http://macfaqs.com/ to get a feeling for how this new Q&A site will function.
DZone powers some of the best online communities for technology developers and advanced web designers. We like it sharp, clean, fresh and fun.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
The users of MacFAQs.com will include anyone who uses Apple Macintosh computers, iPhones, or iPads as well as anyone who is considering switching. You can expect expect a lot of creative, artistic users, including lots of designers, musicians and other artists like yourself.
This should be a logo that fits well into the overall Apple marketplace. It should feel attractive and familiar to any Apple user without infringing on Apple's brand or anyone else's.
IMPORTANT: Your submission MUST NOT infringe Apple's trademarks, or any others! Be original.
We need a fully developed logo and identity package that shows how this logo will function successfully in both web and print contexts, in full color and in black&white. It will help to see how it works on both dark and light backgrounds, and we'd like to see specimens of the monochrome logo on both black and white backgrounds. We welcome any mockups of how the logo will work on business cards, t-shirts, web pages, etc.
We will require Adobe Illustrator original vector files and any associated fonts or supporting graphic elements as part of the final delivery. It will not be acceptable to deliver merely the converted outlines, so be prepared to provide the actual fonts needed by your design. Keep in mind that this means you must use free and freely redistributable fonts which are legally allowed to be sent.
