I am a 27 year old female graduate student living in New York City.
I started a company called Lola Undercover LLC. The ultimately business objective is to sell premium brands of women's lingerie in a flash sample sale e-commerce model (think Rue La La), but with a heavy concentration on the "experience." As this is a start-up, the commerce will come after the web-traffic. So... I am going to start this video as a blog/vlog site featuring editorial and art related to women's lingerie (with a possible extension into swimwear).
Lola Undercover will be an art-meets-commerce site that is photography-heavy, and exclusive-feeling. I want the customer to feel appreciated, beautiful, and informed. The site will feature videos with interviews and commentary. The customer should feel close to the brand.
There will be opportunities for models to showcase their beauty, artists/photographers to showcase their talents, and writers to showcase their skills.
Lola is also charitable. Lola Undercover will co-host events with lingerie brands and other publications with proceeds benefitting women-related charities.
Women 18-50. Women who might not be totally self-confident. Lola Undercover should be aspirational, but attainable. Lola Undercover is a place a woman can come to read testimonials and stories from other women, read advice on what product would look best on her body, gain a sense of community, and realize that feeling sexy, confident and beautiful is not just a function of nature, but something that she can control. All of the products that Lola will feature and sell will be curated and controlled.
Men who might want to shop or find recommendations for their girlfriends or wives may also be part of the target audience, although secondary to the woman herself.
Need a logo, business cards, stationary suite, and possible extension into web design (but not required on this project.).
Color Palette: jewel tones; rich colors. I want the colors to look and feel like they have a texture. Purple, Navy, Gray, Crimson...
If I had to describe the logo in words I would say: sensual, satin, whispers, candles, lace, reflections and mirrors, silhouettes, boudoir, shadows, corsets, touch...
I want the logo to feel bold, yet a bit coy at the same time. I am not a fan of hard edges. I want it to feel soft and voluptuous, slightly vulnerable, but with a desire to be more and be confident, glamourous and sexy.
If Lola's logo was a celebrity it would be Eva Mendes meets Salma Hayek meets a librarian.
Attached are some images that I believe capture most of Lola. Most are from photographer Guido Argentini. You can also reference photographer David Drebin. His work is also reminiscent of Lola. PLEASE NOTE: The images attached are for inspiration only and cannot be used in the logo or design.
Please email me at email@example.com with specific questions.
Thank you, good luck, and I look forward to working with you!
PS. I really don't like butterflies!
