OSCAR (Ocean State Consortium of Advanced Resources)
We are a regional social infrastructure/platform and movement to transform a region -- a change agent.
OSCAR connects and networks people and their ideas to address regional challenges in broad topics such health, energy and environment, society and economy. By connecting people, OSCAR builds momentum toward a shared agenda that builds shared resources (people, facilities, equipment, etc) that no one organization or institution could do alone to advance this spectacular region we live in – sum is greater than our parts.
Our target market is broad and includes a community of world-class faculty, entrepreneurs, companies, service agencies, artists, designers and students from public and private entities and across diverse fields with young and old professionals.
We hope the logo will appeal across sectors - to government, industry (large and entrepreneurial), non-profit and academic sectors and attract and inspire the region’s change and thought leaders, to join forces.
It should inspire creative ideas, express the ability to overcome obstacles that exist between sectors, and demonstrate ability to build a new model of collaboration that is porous and accessible infrastructure (beyond ownership) to support regional transformation.
We want to be inspired – moved to action. Although a complicated concept, we are looking for a simple but creative logo with a sense of collaboration putting things in motion -- forward thinking, aspiring, transforming, creating, innovating.
Please spell out acronym in the design; however, do it in such a way that if at a later date we decide to remove it and leave the acronym only -- the design still works.
A design that is transferable to all mediums, on all backgrounds and is easily resizable. Not interested in cartoons.
At the end of the contest, we require all original source files, including: unlocked vector file, unlocked .eps file, unlocked .ai file, large .jpeg file, font names and file location(s), etc.
Be really creative because this is unique and transformative. Have fun!
And feel free to send us questions, we want to be as involved as you want us to be.
