Summit Series is a community of the most amazing young people in the world: CEO's, entrepreneurs, company founders, philanthropists, and entertainers. (Matt Mickiewicz, founder of SitePoint & 99designs, attended our last retreat in Aspen) We need a new, aspirational logo that tells of our mission.
Check out TheSummitSeries.com for more info.
The Summit logo needs to be a powerful representation of our goals, our mission, and our community.
Past attendees of Summit Series events include Tony Hsieh, Zappos, Evan Williams, Twitter, Marc Ecko, Ecko Unlimited, Jake Nickell, Threadless, Greg Selkoe, Karmaloop, Chris Sacca, Venture Investor and former Google head of BD/M&A, Michael Chasen, Blackboard, Garrett Camp, StumbleUpon, Josh Abramson & Ricky Van Veen, Collegehumor.com, Catherine Levene, DailyCandy, Ben Lerer and Adam Rich, Thrillist, David Karp, Tumblr, Sean Mills, The Onion, Tim Ferris, Author and Entrepreneur, Lauren Bush, Feed Projects , Milo Ventimiglia , Divide Pictures, Actor on the TV show Heros, Bobby Bailey, Invisible Children... the list goes on.
We raise millions of $$ for charitable organizations we believe in, we work with the Obama Adminstration on new media, economic policy, employment and educational issues, and we organize awesome, fun filled trips for our community members. It is our belief that building this peer group and creating this community will have lasting effects going forward for our country and our world.
Our logo needs to tell the story of peak performance, for the drive towards excellence that all of our members share.
Eventually, we hope to have the cultural significance and brand value that will allow us to split our logo from any text, and still be recognizable as Summit. So we need the text and the image to be separable from one another.
I have images in my head that range from the Shepard Fairy-esque to the peaks of mountians with juxtaposed pine trees.. use your creative genius to tell the story and mission of Summit through an image!
