subastayclasificados.com
we are a pair of (recently laid off) developers working to build a better classified ads application than those in the local market (you should see them, they are mostly god-awful). unfortunately, we don't have much designing chops, so we turn to the community to help us out on this matter.
our main target audience is real-estate brokers. the features of the site will attract these users to open accounts, but we need the logo to initially hook them. with one image we can let them know what the site is all about. the rest of the target audience are regular users shopping around for houses, cars, electronics, books, etc. everyone appreciates a little eye candy.
the logo should incorporate the brand name in some way (ie. a logotype). the brand name is: "subastayclasificados.com" which translates to: auctions and classifieds dot com. basically, the site allows bidding on real-estate properties (this is the main focus of the site) and the posting of classified ads (for users to advertise their services or products). the layout of the site will be very "web 2.0", we will be using subtle javascript animations and a minimalistic look. you are free to use color schemes and styles that match the layout description. final product should be in vector format for photoshop (.psd).
