Jbytes is a software company that manufactures software products for managing the enrollment and administration of employee benefits. Our customers are large insurance companies, employee benefits brokers and HR executives. We are known in the industry as master problem solvers that help our customers realize dramatic sales increases by using our technology. We are looking for a new image for our business as we roll-out our new software products for 2011. The company name will remain Jbytes but we would like a new logo that better reflects our creative approach to building software focused on the employee benefits administration market. We need to look professional yet hip to a very stodgy market. We want to standout but not too radically. You can see our existing design at http://www.jbytes.com.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Our target audience is primarily executives at large insurance companies, owners of regional insurance brokerages and C-level executives. We would like our target audience to feel that jbytes is a modern and professional organization whose technology is something special that they want to be associated with. We want them to feel that we are something unique that they can only find with us.
The logo will be used on the web site, product packaging and business cards. We need something that is modern, professional and not cartoonish. We are all about design in our creative solutions to software engineering problems, so we feel our logo should reflect that creativity. Colors are good but we do need something that will work on a variety of mediums like web sites, printed materials, product manuals, etc.
We currently use all lowercase letters in the logo, but it is not necessary to maintain this. There are no restrictions on maintaining similarity to the existing logo. We really want something different.
We would like to have final art delivered as layered illustrator or photoshop files using vector graphics so we can resize things as necessary. Any fonts used will need to be identified so we can obtain them.
