Learning math fundamentals big problem. This is a "change the world" idea to make the process of learning be more targeted, engaging and rewarding. Why not, right?
We're couple of concerned parents who developed assetbar.com are working on a rich, clean interface to help kids become 100% proficient on their basic math skills. We've been working very hard to make it engaging for the kids.
The backend technology is very powerful, so our learning system dynamically adjusts the problem to suit the child's ability. The child earns points for correct, fast answers, which can be spent in exchange for various rewards.
The main target group is educated and affluent parents with children 4-9 years old. The children may be in public, private, or international schools.
The parents care about their children's education and tend to be deeply involved: some of the parents will want their children to use the system to grow their math skills early, others will be interested that their child gets really solid on the basics of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
To be clear, there will parents of a wide range of socio-economic backgrounds, but the look and feel has to appeal to the educated and affluent.
Name is obviously about nurturing and growth. Building foundations. Connecting ideas, developing and expanding skills.
The basic thought is a stylized greenhouse with the text "math greenhouse", but you are free to be creative and innovative.
The name is a mouthful, so maybe there's a clever way to make it look smaller.
Avoid childen's primary colors and the "kids" look. Absolutely no bubbly, or crayon/chalk fonts or backwards r's.
This is targeting the parents, not the kids. This is premium. Don't look cheap. Favor elegant precision, but don't be too cold. Avoid cartoons and childishness.
Not too tall, say 55 px-ish. bonus love for favicon.
UPDATE: 1) Greenhouse is one word. If you like, you can split it across two rows, but whether one line or two, it must be in a consistent typeface & color. It's NOT just a house that is green, it's a greenhouse.
2) You can put a leaf on the roof, but not a chimney. Greenhouses don't have chimneys. Especially not polluting ones.
