Really hard decision between 2 designers. We opted for the winner we chose merely because of the poll we shared and we went for the top choice from this poll. Highly recommend 99 Designs
Awesome! Thanks for your work!

Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Good Jobs Institute is a non-profit, established in 2016 in Cambridge, MA by Sarah Kalloch and Professor Zeynep Ton. Its mission is to “Improve the lives of low wage workers in a way that benefits companies and their customer.” The institute is built off of Ton’s research in retail operations, which she started while a graduate student at Harvard Business School in the late 1990’s. The research has highlighted companies that have created good jobs while outperforming peers in terms of customer satisfaction and financial performance such as Trader Joe’s, Mercadona, Costco and QuickTrip. The research gained increased awareness through an article in HBR in 2012 and through her book “The Good Jobs Strategy” published in 2014. Over time, more companies have showed interest in using the tools and research to improve their employee and customer experience.
A website for the Good Jobs Institute will serve the purpose of increasing awareness of the approaches and tools of the good jobs strategy and serve as a platform for the Institute to partner with companies to create better jobs for low-wage workers. The website will feature case studies, videos, articles, ready to use tools and research for companies to implement in their own organizations. In addition, it will also feature a diagnostic tool that will help employees diagnose their company’s current level of performance.
Target audience: corporate leaders, academics, investors in industries where front line workers play a major role in operations and customer experience.

What colors do you want to see in your design?
To give us an idea of the overall feeling of your brand, let us know which styles you lean towards
This will be the core of our brand image as we built out a website. LeanIn.org is a favorite logo and website. The words "Good Jobs Institute" should be in the logo, and if any words are emphasized, it should be "Good Jobs", which is our driving mission. If you look up Zeynep Ton and her book, please note: we do NOT love the book cover design, so please don't replicate it (we like that it had a people focus but it was not visually appealing or sophisticated enough for a business audience). We are looking for the .psd or .ai version of a logo. We are flexible on colors but please NO green.
ADDITION: We do not need/want GJI in the logo--that is not what we are going for.
