I ran a competition with this amazing community in Aug. of 2010 - you all are so talented!
The outcome was a perfect logo, beautiful and exactly what I wanted - designed by Emir-A.
Here it is: http://99designs.com/logo-design/co…ique-52214
Sadly, before I launched (I took a while), the near same logo is now being used by an Urban Outfitters company. see bhldn.com.
So I need a new logo.
And I need your help!
My first editorial photoshoot is Oct. 20, and we aim to launch in Nov. Help us design a logo and we will be forever grateful.
I live in Chicago. This is my first independent venture and proof that I am either becoming brave or crazy.
Our customers are trendsetting women. Their ages range from 25 - 45 years.
These women prefer the original inspiration to the new interpretation.
This shop is a vintage boutique and it is a story of how we came to appreciate the beautiful things we see today.
My preferred concept incorporates a bow into the design - this will help people remember the proper spelling of bowbari. This could be a bow and arrow, a bow tie - any kind of bow.
1.) 1-2 colors max. I think one color should be neutral, but you could prove me wrong. I really think black and white is best.
3.) Ensure the logo works with a white background.
4.) Simple means memorable and easy to read.
5.) Keep it refined, so no bubble letters, cartoons nor cleavage. Romantic means brimming with storied history and spontaneity.
6.) Please do not use any stock images or clip art in the logo.
7.) Print File Format (.ai) and Web File Format (layered .psd and .jpg) are required.
8.) If you can come up with a long word-based logo (bowbari written out), and a symbolic marque logo (think chanel - cc, tory burch -tb, versace, etc.) then you will have a major leg up on your competition.
