How watershedfarm started their logo design journey
We are the owners of a boutique spelling and agistment farm for thoroughbred horses. Clients who own race horses in the city send their horses to our farm for rest and recovery before returning to racing. We also have mares and foals on agistment.
We are trying to promote our business more through advertising on our website http://www.watershed-farm.com and at major city horse sales. Our logo as you can see is very amateur and needs a modern, more professional look and feel. More about what we like below.....
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
We are targeting professional clients (who mostly live in cities) who have racehorses as a hobby to their busy lives. Therefore, our design needs to be modern, classy and certainly not tacky or gimmicky. Our clients like the look of our high class competitors such as http://www.darleyaustralia.com/homepage/AUS and http://www.coolmore.com/. As you can see, our competitor's logos as short, simple and clean looking (no clipart in their logos). We are trying to achieve a similar look and feel with Watershed Farm. We don't need relevance in our logo to Water (because it is in the title) or to horses (just a very attractive way of presenting our name).
Please look at http://www.watershed-farm.com. We are looking for a design to replace this header. We like the use of our colors (black, white and blue) but please feel free to experiment if you have another idea. We would also like to use our new logo designed as a sign at the front of our farm, and on merchandise such as caps, shirts, jackets and banners.
We would like the words 'Watershed Farm' as our logo and do not need any images with it (although feel free to include one if you think it would enhance our appearance).
The look and feel needs to be clean, modern and classy. Happy to answer any questions you have. (Please look at the websites of our competitors outlined above to get an idea of our presentation goal).
Please feel free to experiment with colors!
The files we will require are:
Print file format - .ai (CMYK)
Web file format - .jpg and layered .psd (RGB)
Please do not use any stock images or clip art in the logo.
