Organizations in the Internet sphere, both companies and nonprofits. People looking for an experienced Internet policy and communications professional to help them reach out to their stakeholders and communities online to develop policies or help them to improve as organizations.
I'm very professional, but also strongly emphasize opening up channels of communication and challenging the accepted ways of doing things. This consulting firm is all about helping organizations to use the Internet to interact with people they deal with, challenging themselves and doing their job better.
I'm looking for a logo and brand identity for my website, mariafarrell.com. It's a wordpress blog, so I need a banner heading and also some light branding for the column sides.
I also want to use the logo on business cards. Ideally, it would be my name in a good font plus the logo.
The logo should communicate the use of the Internet, community-building, professionalism and openness.
I like clean, simple designs with plenty of white space. I'm not against strong colours, but I like a fairly simple pallette, i.e. not a lot of different colours together.
I don't like: noisy, busy designs, feminine palettes, very literal use of imagery e.g. pictures of keyboards etc, logos that involve a globe.
