Franciscan Community of Reconciliation
The Franciscan Community of Reconciliation is a community that embraces the spirit and commitment to the Gospels of Francis and Clare of Assisi and Charles of Brazil. These holy Saints in answering God's call, recognized the need to initiate reform in the church, seek social justice, embrace the poor and reconcile to the church those who were no longer welcome. We are non-Roman Catholic and are affiliated with the Catholic Apostolic Church in North America (CACINA.org). We do not discriminate again age, gender or sexual orientation. We tend to be viewed as a rather "liberal" order among the religious communities of the world.
-People who are interested in pursuing a vocation to the Franciscan way of life and may wish to join our community.
-Members of our Franciscan parishes.
-Those who have felt alienated by organized, institutional religions.
-Catholics who have difficulty with the Vatican and certain church teachings.
The colors of our habit would be a natural color scheme. The habit is grey in color. Friars wear a white rope around their waste and a silver crucifix that hangs on a red cord.
There are a number of "Franciscan" symbols that can be incorporated. You can see some here (although the Tau cross is a poor representation): http://www.geocities.com/Athens/Atl…mbols.html
The logo should be contemporary and elegant. Simple yet memorable and distinctive.
Final format should be available in vector format as well as JPG, GIF, TIFF and PNG.
