My project approach is very much like the folks at 37signals: elegant, sharp, subtle, less features, more white space and definitely web 2.0 in color and layout - so I need my new website and logo to reflect that.
New website design:
- Must be absolutely Web 2.0 in style.
- Must be table-based.
- Light blue/green/gray/white centered fixed-width (1024) design with horizontal tabbed menu.
- Tabs can be with square or round corners.
- I like a design with a full-width top section (logo and tab nav), but the rest in fixed width (1024).
- Very little 3D effects.
- Use of gradient backgrounds for page sections and menu acceptable.
- Placement of logo should be top left section (on white background) next to tabbed nav section.
- You only need to create the home page, but please include working tabbed navigation.
Websites I like (use as layout and color references):
- http://jogger.pl/ -- I really like how clean this website looks and tab navigation is done in pure CSS.
- http://resolio.com/app/ -- I like their color palette.
- http://www.pixel-house.com.au/ -- I like the fresh look of this website; don't like the navigation.
Logo:
- Must be my last name (Vigsbo or vigsbo) with a small image/icon to the left.
- Could be a play on characters, but I would prefer blue/green web 2.0, sharp.
- Must be absolutely Web 2.0 in style.
- Colors: Blue, green, gray.
- Must look good scaled down for stationary and business cards.
