A winner was selected from 137 designs submitted by 36 freelance designers.
Project Moldova
Our charity works with Moldovan orphans, the poorest of all eastern European countries. We provide traditional Moldovan crafts programs in 11 orphanage-boarding schools that teach the children useful skills, offering them creative outlets, fostering hope, and cultivating their individual self worth.
Our Tagline: Instilling Hope. Inspiring Creativity. Saving Children.
Target market: USA donors 30-50 years old; more females than males; higher education.
Prefer a simple, clean yet modern/bold design that is more graphic in nature. Please nothing that is a picture in a box. Original concepts preferred.
General themes to consider conveying: children (first and foremost) hopefulness, growth, creativity/craft, protection, individuality.
The logo may be used on promotional items (like pens and mugs) so please keep in mind that the logo still needs to look good if it is done in all black or all white, etc.
Prefer less detailed, cleaner logos so that if it is shrunk down very small you can still see what it is without losing anything.
Incorporate the tagline, but be mindful of the fact that we may not choose to include it all the time so it needs to look good both with it and without.
Also, the orphans that are part of Project Moldova are school age children (kindegarten through high school).
Lastly, please look at the logos featured on the blog on this site. We encourage creative representations like those found in number 5 (Kohlner Zoo) and 7 (Two Wolves).
