The Foundation for a Free Society
Tagline:
The Foundation for a Free Society: Educate. Activate. Liberate.
Mission Statement:
The Foundation for a Free Society is dedicated to promoting the principles of liberty, personal sovereignty, non-intervention, private property, and free markets in order to create a more free and prosperous society for all.
Primary Objectives:
•Provide education and training in the philosophy of liberty by producing materials and organizing events.
•Enable individuals to more effectively communicate the philosophy of liberty in their community, and more efficiently implement this philosophy through state and local activism.
•Promote individual sovereignty by providing education on alternatives in the areas of education, currencies, health and wellness, self-defense training, and entrepreneurship.
Target Audience:
•Elementary/High School Students, targeting specifically home-school groups and families that lean toward libertarian views, as well as charter schools and public schools.
•College students, leveraging the access of existing groups such as the College Libertarians and Young American for Liberty.
•Adults who are receptive to the philosophy of liberty and members of the grassroots liberty movement who are thirsting for information and solutions. This would include anti-establishment left groups, anti-war organizations, Libertarians, as well as Tea-Party Patriots, Ron Paul Republicans, and 9/12 Group members.
We want something cutting edge, yet communicates strength. We want something that can be on a business card we hand to a potential $100,000 corporate donor, and can also put on a flier that we distribute across a college campus. We want something slightly revolutionary, but doesn't communicate anarchy.
Also, note that our name has a dual meaning:
It is a FOUNDATION in the organizational sense.
It is a FOUNDATION in a structural sense. The education we provide is truly the foundation for a free society. Get it? Of course you do!
Now, who is up for the challenge?
