How Seth Shoultes started their logo design journey
A little about myself. I am a WordPress plugin developer. I have created a WordPress plugin that allows WordPress developers and site owners to have an affordable event management solution for their website.
I love expensive coffee, fine wine, and eating at high-end restaurants. I also like classy, upscale, designs and interfaces as much as I love sports cars and well kept vintage muscle cars.
The expensive coffee taste led me to the name Event Espresso. I just sounds classy and appeals to men and women alike.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Our target audience is men and women that may be event organizers, WordPress users, website developers, website owners, and public speakers.
We are also trying to attract people that may be using alternate event registration and organization programs or websites such as eventbrite.com, eventbee.com, and regonline.com.
When I see a restaurant with an upscale look and classy front area. They usually have a pretty classy logo, right?
The Event Espresso logo needs to give the impression of an upscale gourmet coffee shop, fine bottle of wine or a fancy restaurant. It needs to be inviting and would appeal to both men and women.
The logo will primarily be used on the website, but will also be seen on t-shirts, stickers and coffee mugs. Not sure if this makes sense, but I would like to have a color scheme that can be changed at will and used in conjunction with many types of marketing materials and website color schemes. I would also like to incorporate the WordPress logo (.psd attached) if possible.
In the attached files are some logos I created to try and get an idea of what I was looking for. None of them are that great, but I have attached them to maybe give you some ideas.
If I find the right designer, this could turn out to be an ongoing project with many types of marketing material being created. I have several other projects in the works that will need logos created as well.
