Rod Hore got their new logo design by running a design contest:

Accounting & Financial
This logo is for a new company, Middle Office Pty Ltd, that is just commencing trading. Provides an outsourced payroll service and business reporting for medium sized businesses in the recruitment industry. Audience is owners and managers within those organisations. Business is initially based in Australia but will expand internationally (eg New Zealand, Singapore, UK) Business provides a high quality and high compliance service, but also provides value added services to provide strategic benefit for clients. Words: integrity, trust, safe, innovation, customer focus, specialists.
Other color requirements
I'd expect the words to guide the colours. As an example, it is unlikely we will end up with a neon colour scheme as that does not match our business or our audience.
We will be seeking a brand identity pack after the logo design (as a separate project). We have not suggested colours or styles to commence this process. It really is a blank sheet from us. The words provided above are important. We will be seeking a logo that works horizonally as well as vertically, so there may be a couple of approved versions of the logo. While the logo has to work online (web page, social media), it will also be required to be printed (eg on pull-up advertising banners) and used in marketing materials (eg t-shirts, promotional material). UPDATES: The wonderful initial designs have helped us clarify the brief some more. The samples we provided were not the best! - we will choose a logo that has an Icon and the words Middle Office, therefore we have rejected designs that are just made up of the words Middle Office - we have rejected designs that have the letter M in an angular form that looks like mountains. - we have rejected designs that have people in the logo - it makes us seem like a health or social care company - we have rejected designs that look like the could be on a flag (eg with a star incorporated) or on a car (eg looks like a Mazda badge). When we choose a shortlist we will give feedback on colour and fonts. Thanks! Rod
