I'm young, male, medical services professional who is not afraid to take risks and explore more efficient ways of doing things, even if it stirs the pot a bit. After 5 years in the business, I'm ready to take charge of my own company and do things the right way.
I'm looking to inspire a culture that is independent, do first ask later, and confident. Most importantly, those traits in employees need to be fulfilled by personnel who are mature, professional, and personable.
To get a better idea of the business and what it involves:
It is a medical service provided by certified professionals, performed in the operating room, during surgery.
The target market for this business are Ear, Nose, & Throat surgeons (ENT), as well as General surgeons who perform head & neck surgeries. While most neurodiagnostic providers focus on brain and spine procedures (brain tumors and back surgeries), I would like to focus on the head and neck segment (surgeries involving the nerves of the neck and/or face).
As business grows, I may look to enter the well-established brain/spine market.
The target audience for this logo will be primarily physicians and hospital administrators. To a lesser degree, the target will be surgical patients.
Logos for companies in this segment typically involve an image of a head, brain, or spine. Most also include a representation of a nerve impulse, or action potential, which can be seen clearly inside the heart in this logo store logo:
Design elements to include:
1. A brain or a head
2. An action potential (optional)(as described/depicted in the example above)
3. A cog (optional)
4. Clean, professional font. Not too techy
Design elements to avoid
1. No images of just a spine
2. No images focusing on an ear or nose
I want a logo that can be utilized in a number of ways, and one that...even without the company name, is distinguishable among other neurodiagnostic companies. I would prefer that the logo be in a position relative to the name so that it may be sectioned off for standalone use. Preferably logo above, centered. OR logo left side, before company name
I want this to be professional, but not boring!
I'd prefer a blue or dark/forest green color, but I'm also totally open to other variants.
Here's an example of 3 logos from the logo store that I liked, and things I did not like about them:
Not crazy about the eye in the middle
Nice, but kind of plain/boring. A bit cartoony
a bit too techy, esp. the font
