How Steve Horton started their logo design journey
JMI On Call
Justice & Mercy International is a faith-based, non-profit organization that exists to change lives by confronting global injustice. We exist to bring hope and healing to the least, the last and the lost by confronting these eight global initiatives: Disease, Human Trafficking, Education, Orphans, Poverty, Spiritual Hopelessness, War and the Environment.
JMI On Call is our newly established medical missions unit formed to make trips to places like the red light district in Mumbai, India where they will provide STD tests to prostitutes; the slums of Red Hill in Cape Town, South Africa where they will provide HIV tests to the poorest of the poor; and to the banks of the Amazon in Brazil to administer vaccinations to jungle people inflicted with malaria and other deadly diseases.
Please check out the JMI Web site (http://justiceandmercy.org) for more information on other countries where we serve. Our hope is to provide a JMI On Call team with each of our annual trips to these areas.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Our audience consists of doctors, dentists, hospital administrators, nurses, nurse practitioners and other members of the medical field. We need these people to be able to look at the logo and understand that this is a legit program and worthy of their time and talents.
We also need it to be attractive to donors who will help provide the needed funds to purchase medical supplies to accompany these medical professionals on their trips.
The term "JMI On Call" needs to be used. I would prefer it carry the same basic color scheme as the existing JMI logo (eps. and jpg. attached) or at least look like it belongs under the JMI umbrella should they appear side-by-side.
