How blewis started their logo design journey
Harlequin is an innovative brand dedicated to finding and utilizing sustainable materials to create functional and fashionable luxury products.
Our initial product, Harlequin Men’s Shoe, is the first waterproof functional driving loafer. The shoe is targeted towards the modern man who does not want to sacrifice style when affected by the elements. Made of a sheen-less rubber, the shoe is comfortable and durable. It is a made from a single piece mold that will come in a variety of bold colors and in the traditional driving loafer style.
The traditional loafer will be complemented by a lace made of various materials for different styles and colors of the shoe. These materials will include rubber and nautical rope. The lace will be thread through the collar of the shoe. The pebbled soles will emulate the treads on the bottom of a traditional Italian driving loafer.
Harlequin has generated considerable attention in the fashion industry and will be sold in luxury department stores worldwide next Fall.
In 2012, Harlequin will expand its brand to other products that build upon its position as a functional luxury fashion brand.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
We are seeking a classic and iconic symbol as our logo.
The symbol should evoke an image of luxury, sophistication and timeless style without seeming overly pretentious. Examples of ideal brands that fit these criteria include Moncler, Hermes, Bogner, Hunter and Polo.
The Harlequin symbol should be iconic, recognizable and gender neutral.
