Healthcare for the Homebound (also abbreviated H4H)
We are a non-profit health organization providing vital medical services to patients in the lowest socioeconomic area in Southeast Washington DC. These patients are homebound, which means that they are unable to leave their home in order to seek out medical attention. The majority of the patients are elderly, disabled, and African-american. We are a team of physicians, nurse practitioners, social workers, and community leaders. We are also advocates for this vulnerable population looking to be heard by public and private leaders, both in the local community and nationally. The message we are trying to get across is that care for homebound patients
The target market includes consumers (i.e. patients and their families), local public and private leaders, potential donors, and health advocates. Consumers are from a low socioeconomic background with educational levels equivalent to the 6th grade. Local public and private leaders come from governmental agencies and private corporations. This is election year for the Mayor so healthcare is a high profile issue. Donors come from all across america with a heavy influence from African-americans. Health advocates promote the concerns for this vulnerable population and provide a voice to policy makers
We've uploaded a logo that was quickly put together, which can be used as a starting point but other designs should convey the image of health, home, family, care for the elderly and disabled.
We want the image to be inviting and nuturing. Not patronizing or too abstract.
The typeface should be clear, simple and bold. We want something that stands out.
The image can be b&w or include colors that complement the message to be conveyed.
