How Alisonpaints started their logo design journey
Healing Into Possibility
Please see http://www.healingintopossibility.com It tells a lot about me and who I am and what I do and the book I wrote. I am changing the design of the site to create a new home page to feature me and the speaking I do.
I do motivational speaking. I had a two major strokes, was profoundly disabled and made an almost total, and absolutely remarkable recovery. I have written the book you will see on the site, made a video that is being used world wide and am now ready to promote the speaking I do. The message of what I teach goes way beyond stroke. It can be used to face any kind of major challenge. I motivate stroke survivors and their care networks and people with many other kinds of injuries. I motivate business people. I am a business consultant and use the lessons all the time.
There is more bio information about me on the website.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
This message goes to stroke survivors, their family members, care providers of all kinds, breast cancer survivors, really anyone facing a major challenge. I will be featured on this website. http://www.thestrokefoundation.com/news.php for instance.
You can see that there is lots of competition for books and ideas. I need to stand out.
These kind of messages also appeal to people scheduling talks for businesses since the transforming challenges messages works well for them and they look for alternative ways to view problems.
I have a facebook business page on this and am being promoted on twitter.
This is primarily a consumer market. It's application into institutions will come from individuals.
I want the logo to work with the title of the book and the color scheme on the website and book. It can incorporate the words "Healing into Possibility" or it can stand beside the title. As you can see from the website the images have come from flowers emerging from the snow. I don't want anything sentimental. This is not a sentimental enterprise, but I have had good reaction from people to the image on the book cover. Something that incorporated an element of this idea in a clean and truly creative way might be very interesting, but I am open to whatever is powerful, interesting and sharp that gets across the idea of transformation.
