DELIVERABLES
1. Full-color logo + logotype refinement (PSD, JPEG and/or EPS)
2. B&W Vector version that would work on B&W documents, stickers, and one-color applications (Illustrator EPS - vector).
OVERVIEW
We currently have a logo concept that needs additional refinement. The current logo is comprised of 5 LED lights (of different colors) that form a hexagon or circle. We have taken the logo as far as we can, with regard to 3-D effects, and are looking for someone to make these LEDs look more realistic / 3-dimensional, while still keeping a logo-like feel. They should not be photo-realistic, just less "cartoony". We want them to look "lit up", as if the lights are on! They should look sophisticated and appeal to cyclists and outdoor enthusiasts.
As for the type treatment, we are open to other type suggestions as well as effects applied to the type. The company name should still appear as "GlobaLED", one word, with "LED" in all-caps. We would like the tagline "Bright Ideas" to be included. Please also include the © copyright mark.
PRESENTATION
When presenting logos, please present both the full-color and B&W vector versions, so that we can see how both would work together.
REFERENCES
We are particularly drawn to the Yamaha logo, and are including both full-color version (w/ effects) and B&W vector versions. We like how both logos work as a family, but are very different and can be used on different applications.
COLOR PALETTE
We love the idea of sourcing actual colors from LEDs so that they look realistic. We also like the idea of a rainbow palette based on actual LED colors, which adds a bit of fun and friendliness to our brand and product offerings. We are including images of LEDs in our zip file for color reference. The type does not necessarily have to be black. We would be interested in seeing grays / metallics, other neutrals / ideas as well.
ADDITIONAL CREATIVE DIRECTION
As for the mark, we are open to other configurations of these little LED lights, and are not particularly set on having 5. (3 might work.) We think more than 5 might be problematic, as the logo will become too intricate to work at very small sizes.
DEADLINE
We will be out of town next week, May 10 - 14, so will review all submissions on Monday, May 17th and give additional feedback then!
Have fun!~ We have big plans for the company, and need a logo that can take us there! We look forward to seeing your ideas!
Thanks, GlobaLED
