How Mark Vivanco started their logo design journey
Check Me Out
I am a fun person and would like the logo to reflect that. The personality of the site is going to be a place for both photographers and models to interact, talk about photography, share photos, experiences, etc.
Since the site is designed for glamour photography people are generally more comfortable with themselves and aren't stiffs.
Glamour photography ranges from Maxim type to some level of nudity however it isn't porn.
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
Our target audience will be both amateur to professional photographers and models. On the website will contain lots of photos, have contests, list of events, photography and modeling tips and a messaging forum. Photographers and Models will be able to search for each others as well. Photographers would go to the website to post their photos, update their status and write on the forum. Models would do the same. The site will be like a combination of Facebook and Blogging geared strictly towards Photographers and Models. So naturally there will be the ability to create friends with your account.
The logo must be scalable in size. Colors are not as important to me. Creativity is where logos will evaluated.
Branding is very important to me. I have toyed with the idea of people saying are you on "CMO"? By that they would be mean CheckMeOut.com. So that idea would mean both CMO and CheckMeOut.com would be in the logo. Other ideas I have had revolved around just having the logo read Check Me Out with no .com.
Since women go to sites for women and men go to modeling sites for women, I thought that having the logo somehow have an image, outline, something outlining a female figure might be the way to go.
These are ideas I have had but there are a ton of others I haven't listed. I am willing to entertain any design anyone comes up with. Don't let my ideas above limit your creativity.
I can tell you that I don't want anything "business like". I want a fun design.
