South Shore is a recognized leader in North American furniture manufacture, Established in 1940,we have been making furniture for three generations. Employing a team of over 1000 employees in three factories in Quebec and Mexico, our assembled and ready-to-assemble furniture has a reputation for quality and excellence at affordable prices for today's family.
Our products are sold in Canada, USA and Mexico through a network of furniture retailers, dotcom retailers and mass merchandisers such as Wal Mart, Target, Amazon to name a few. We produce furniture for most rooms of your home including Master Bedroom, kids bedroom, baby bedroom, home office, and living room (with our audio/video units). We want to expand our product and service offer and integrate Home Decor items such as lighting, rugs, linens, frames and accessories. We are increasing our online presence and we want our brand to get closer to our end users.
We are celebrating 70 years of existence and we are one of the few furniture manufacturer in North America which have been able to re-invent itself through difficult times, sustain and get stronger as years go by.
We want our new logo to reflect that.
Our main target market is women who are online and aged between 18-34 years old. Our corporate personality is Simple, Reliable, Smart, Affordable, Friendly, Excellent reputation, Modern, Young and Aimed at North American women. They are seeking solutions to ease their home decoration projects, room by room. Although, our core target is women aged 18-34, our secondary market is up to 45 years old. Therefore, we do not want a logo too hype...
We are no longer just a furniture manufacturer selling to other retailers. We are becoming a retailer ourselves as we develop our own transactional web site with an expanded offer. Our goal is to be able to sell customized ready to assemble furniture and accessories for the very specific tastes of single consumers.
Our target audience could speak English, French or Spanish.
Solve the brand identity issue that we have right now cause we run our company under 2 identities: "Meubles Rive Sud" in French and "South Shore Furniture" in English. • One brand name
• One logotype (except with different English, French and Spanish descriptors)
• One identity
This name would be South Shore.
Descriptor for the French logo= Meubles & Décor
Descriptor for the English logo: Furniture & Decor
Descriptor for the Spanish logo: Muebles & Decor
Besides the descriptor, the remaining of the logo is the same between the 3 logos.
We want the new revamped logo to be an EVOLUTION of the existing logo, not a revolution. Therefore, we think we should use the same fonts and same Pantone colors which are Red #201 and Yellow #130. But, we will consider all propositions as long as it reflects the spirit of our strategic orientation: Re-invention after 70 years of furniture manufacturing. We are strong and young at heart. We are friendly and close to our users.
We should be able to feel the link with our previous logo with the new one.
This new logo will be used on our customers' web sites, product packaging, literature, social media initiatives, stationery, etc
