Spit Fire BBQ
We're a web development company that is counting on some great crowd sourcing ideas from this great community of artists. Our client, Spit Fire BBQ, is looking for an illustration that can be used as part of an overall branding strategy in print and online.
That means that we will adapt the illustration you develop for logo, web, product stickers, etc.
Our target audience is weekend barbecue enthusiasts and sports fans throughout the United States, Tailgaters and grillers of all types throughout the Midwest, Texas, Florida and the southern U.S. Middle to upper income folks who would rather be out tailgating than sitting behind a computer all day.
We won't be using your logo to develop the typical Famous Dave's type barbecue web site with red checkered tablecloths, etc. Spit Fire BBQ will be a community of weekend barbecue enthusiasts and we need a fun, crazy illustration that reflects it.
Our vision for the logo? We want to see a pig with a chef's hat in the pilot's seat of an old British Spitfire plane. (Google one if the image does not immediately come to mind.) We've even thought of maybe getting completely wacky and having the pig-piloted plane flying over hot coals, but that's your call.
We're crowd sourcing this illustration because we want to see a bunch of ideas for pulling this look off, so feel free to experiment. Count on plenty of feedback. The illustration could be photo-realistic or cartoonish. The whole concept is a work in progress, so go for it. The more different and fun the better.
The color scheme is yours to invent. We'll want an EPS or high resolution PSD file that we can use to adapt the finished illustration for logos, web, print, etc. The image must be something we can copyright, so no clip art, etc.
Also, I am attaching a logo for a flying pig barbecue restaurant in Nevada ... we don't want a logo that is too similar to this one because ... well, it's not ours and they chose this particular look first.
That's all. Take some chances, have some and show us what you can do!
