Click the link to see what the design must be roughly based on (the animal is supposed to be a dog not a cat btw!)
The design is supposed to convey a sad caged dog, dreaming of a time when he might find a happy home with a nice family of his own. As a guide, the size should be recognisable at approx 2" high by 5" or 6" wide.
The dog must be imagining a nice happy home, but should itself be very forlorn, as you would be if you were left in a few feet square cage. The type of dog is not important but it must be obvious that the dog is caged.
This website will be a nationwide service which all dog rescues will use to list the dogs they have available for re-homing, so that people searching for a dog will be able to find what they are looking for quickly and easily. The aim is to speed up turnaround of these dogs so that more can be taken from dog pounds where they are destroyed if they are not either claimed or moved to a re-homing centre within 7 days.
Currently in the UK many thousands of dogs are put to sleep every year completely unneccessarily, and we are working towards a day when this will no longer be the case. The website will also be used for other purposes such as fund-raising, providing lost/found services etc and the logo will be seen nationally when our awareness campaign produces car stickers etc, to help get the word out.
Thank you for your help with this really important cause.
