Slacklining is a relatively new and quickly spreading sport originated by rock climbers. A 100 foot piece of nylon webbing (a one inch wide flat rope) is stretched between two poles/trees about 3 feet from the ground. The rope is taught but still has slack, thus the title 'slack line.' Once the slackline is set up, the person walks across the line, and those who are more experienced use the slack to bounce or do tricks such as flips or other feats of extreme balance.

Our company is going to be one of the first slacklining companies in existence. The sport is new, but it is exploding in popularity.
Here are the tips for our logo:
1) The two most important aspects our logo should convey is this cross between balance and adrenaline.
2) Our logo should have the trendy yet edgy appeal of a skate or snowboard logo, we want 14 year old kids to demand their parents buy our slacklines, stickers, and tshirts. It needs to be rebellious, it needs to be sexy.
3) so far this is our only logo idea, it is merely a guideline,
4) possibly incorporate a heart line to represent adrenaline, or not.
Our goal is to market to the 12-30 year old outdoors/extreme sports types. Slacklining was originated by rock climbers, so a large percentage of our clientele are climbers, but the sport has started to become driven by the tricks that slack liners come up with, and many of the tricks come from outside the community of rock climbers (skater, etc). It is very important that our logo be attractive to the 12-20 Male group (extreme sports group).
A few examples of logos that I think adequately market to this group are:
There are a large number of skate and snowboard brands that use simple yet edgy logos to associate a certain aura of rebelliousness to their brand, that is what we want.
The logo needs to be simple enough that is can be printed on everything, from stickers, tshirts, and even the slacklines themselves while being easily recognizable yet unique.
The two most important things to capture, once again, are BALANCE and ADRENALINE. We don't want the logo to be inappropriate, but you can take risks, it has to be edgy and set apart from the rest.
The logo can incorporate the name of the company, or not, I would like to see both. The logo should either be horizontally long or fit within a square, but it should not be vertically long. I honestly just want any potential designers to be creative.
The sample logo is attached as well, can be found above in the overview portion, or by clicking on this link-->>
Our company is decidedly youthful and unconventional, our logo should be well designed but the adjective "professional" is not nearly as important as our desire to appeal to a more youthful and unprofessional market. Our product is meant for the adventurous and daring, our logo should represent this. The logo will be used on our slacklines as well as throughout our website, business cards, posters, etc., it is the FACE of our company. Your work on our logo will be the first step in defining who we are and what we do, please feel free to email us with any questions at email@example.com
Also keep in mind that we are just a couple of college students that are trying to expand on our big ideas with very little capital. Your help is beyond monetary value to us, it is crucial to our success.
