How ecologybridge started their logo design journey
Who are you known as?
Tell us a bit about who you are and the people you reach
I provide decision support, statistical analysis, project management, National Environmental Protection Act compliance assistance, vegetation surveys (identification of all plant species in a designated area), long-term research, outreach/training/education materials to agencies/organizations who manage wild lands (national parks, state parks...). Additionally, I produce children's books focused on environmental conservation with a goal of empowering children to join in the conservation effort. My goal overall is to bridge the current gap between science, management and the general public. Scientific information is of great value to everyone, but can only be used if provided in an appropriate format for the audience and that is what I do. I also write hard science journal articles and reports regarding ecological research. I want the logo to look professional but not give an unapproachable air since communication is a great portion of what I do and facilitate. If environmental symbols are used, I prefer plant based rather than animal as my specialty is in plants and soils.
