We are the place where Families and Local Social Services Connect. We are an "online community" Life happens. All of us go through life facing daily challenges that come our way. Marital problems, losing our job, not having enough money to pay the bills, the loss of a loved one, our kids not doing well at school, perhaps mental illness or not knowing where to send our kids for summer camp. There is enough knowledge and technology in the world today to bridge this gap and to build a place where people and local & social services connect to solve everyday challenges. The information is out there but, who can you trust? General search engines are confusing, intimidating and you need to know what you are doing in order to get the results you need. We are going to simplify the search by vetting content and creating our own, that fills a gap for mom and families in general. Kinjunction is a Social Enterprise created to be the place where families and local social services connect to support individuals in solving everyday challenges. Our online total-community will bring together individual family members with Not-For-Profits, Subject Matter Experts, Global For-Profit Organizations, Government Agencies and recognized vetted community/member contributors. Individuals will be able to access factual vetted, unbiased content to help them navigate through whatever challenge they might be facing. We will separate fact from fiction, reality from myth, and provide factual content that people can trust. This go-to-resource for mom and the family will be the one-stop community platform to find whatever you need to help make life a little easier. Individual members will be able to search by location, age group and topic of choice. Result pages will provide Self-Assessment Tools, Blogs, Tool Kits, Chat Groups, Open Q&A Library, Suggested Books, Movies, Documentaries, etc. Results are by topic, location and age group. Our goal is not to direct individual members to do what we think is right for them but to add context to help them decide what they think is best for them and their families. Our initial goal is to fill a need in the market for families to have context and find local information and services. Our online community will consist of thousands of resource culminated from content that we curate and create as well as our ultimate goal is to have our members continue to add to and build our resources and offerings to families. We want them to feel like they are not alone. We want our site to be welcoming and calming during a time of distress or worry – We want to be a "bright spot" in their day and not just a place they turn to when they are desperate or needy, but a place they go to, to get answers quickly from everything from babysitters to counseling for serious family issues. We want to simplify finding what you need when you need it User Experience is designed to make your search for important services easier and less intimidating We want to be the trusted destination/resource for the whole family year round. Community & Non-Profit (?) Our Industry is the Community but we "are" for profit. We selected Community & Non-Profit because it's the closest industry on the list but we are for profit. It is very important to understand the meaning of our name. KIN + CONJUNCTION = KINJUNCTION Our name is a combination of two words. kin = one's family and relations. conjunction = the action or an instance of two or more events or things occurring at the same point in time or space. We are the place where people from the same family intersect
