md 4 got their new logo design by running a design contest:
design a timeless logo Blanco event and meeting center

an urban venue
Blanco is an event center for corporate meetings, weddings and private parties. Blanco brings people together for memories, experiences and events. The audience is mostly silicon valley tech workers as well as other urban professionals and the general bay area community of roughly 2.5 million with lots of ethnic diversity. The gender skews toward woman with college level education. Age would be from mid 20’s to 60 and perhaps to mid 20’s to early 30’s for wedding clientele. Largely more Millennials. Lifestyle is urban dweller, sophisticated, early home/apartment owner. Doesn’t want the conventional…are free thinkers and creative. Appreciate casual lifestyle and appreciate historical spaces and the mix of casual and sophisticated elements an urban location offers. Venue is located in a historic district known for restaurants and entertainment (sports stadium and bars). Your Experience Starts Here An event space isn’t just a place for people to sit while someone talks on stage. It isn’t just a locale to attend a ceremony, dine, dance or share some drinks. The venue is a major part of the experience. Blanco is not predictable and doesn’t suffer from the “sameness” of most hotel, convention, banquet halls, meeting spaces and ballrooms. As you approach Blanco from the San Pedro arch, you see a historic building with handcrafted doors made from old timbers salvaged from the building, set behind an outdoor patio enclosed by green hedges with large pots of beautiful flowers. The main floor is a completely open space with very high ceilings and white brick walls. The space can be configured and stylized to suit any event, meeting or party. A large mezzanine perfectly accompanies the event space offering another unique outdoor location for breakouts, dining, socializing and receptions. The mezzanine leads to another surprise, a full roof top garden event space with beautiful olive trees and flowers. We chose olive trees as they symbolize eternity, a theme that fits well with weddings as well as meetings where we encourage eternal learning. Blanco offers event and meeting planners a unique opportunity to create a whole new experience for their guests and that is exactly what the attendee and planner of the future are looking for.
It is not a restaurant but an event and meeting venue. We kind of like the idea of an olive tree as they will be on our rooftop deck. See attached, but aren't set on that, so open to other ideas. Logo will have to work on signage, cards, web, social media etc.
Every design category has flexible pricing for all budgets. Logo design starts at HK$2,399.
