theorientnyc got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Design a logo for The Orient, an Asian themed streetwear company
Check out theorientnyc's Logo design contest…
A streetwear line that infuses graphical representations of oriental culture into apparel, hence “The Orient." Target audience is anyone who is into streetwear. The aim of this brand is to bring a fresh, cultural twist to streetwear apparel which will allow individuals to show pride in their country while rocking modern day clothing. Update (8/7/2015) 1. I am set on a tiger being the mascot 2. Please no generic fonts, highest preference for modern custom font! Thank you for all your hard work :-)
Other color requirements
I'd like to explore the following colors: Blues: Knowledge, trust, calm and honesty. Reds: Energy, action, passion and love. Dark neutrals: Formality, mystery, exclusivity and luxury.
I like simple, powerful logos. I dislike cliche logo designs. I want to create a unique streetwear line and therefore am asking for unique, original designs. I do want "The Orient" to be spelled out and wish for custom font. I've attached a snapshot of logos from some of the most well known streetwear lines. I definitely like the brands that have a picture representing the brand with the company name adjacent, ex: Diamond Supply, OBEY, The Hundreds...but am open to all possibilities. The logo should also convey an oriental theme to some degree. I'm open to the logo being enclosed in a shape but am trying to stray away from the generic double circle logo that I've been seeing a lot lately.
