taskrabbit
we are a fast-growing start up currently named RUNmyERRAND.com. our site's an online marketplace where people crowd-source their to-do lists.
let's say jane lives in Boston without a car & wants to buy, pick up and assemble a desk from IKEA. jane decides to post this task on our site to go to IKEA, buy her chosen desk & have it assembled for her. jane decides she'll pay somebody $40 to do that for her. as soon as she prices & posts her task, our Boston team of 200+ background-checked runners is notified by email and SMS.
two of them respond: bob says he can go to IKEA the next day for $40. susan says she can do it immediately but wants $50. jane really wants the desk asap so she chooses susan who gets the job done as promised. jane's stoked, gives susan a 5-of-5 stars rating on our site and pays susan for the desk and her efforts online on runmyerrand.com
so, why are we re-naming & re-branding our site? mostly because our customers are using us for many things beyond just errands. they use us for Goodwill drop-offs, getting their kitchens re-organized, their wedding dresses sold and even taking their pug dog from new york to boston. we also want a name with personality.
after much testing, we're switching to TASKRABBIT.
people 'got it' regarding what our site did with 'task' & had positive associations (quick, trustworthy, fun) with 'rabbit'.
- busy people who can afford small $ outlays to outsource their tasks. they are typically 25-40, often have young kids and/or busy careers. they're about 60/40 female/male. they're internet savvy and often shop onine. they're quick reads and intelligent: 'crowd-sourcing' your to-do list is a novel concept, but they grok it quickly and put it to use. many work for themselves, own their own businesses or work for small, vs large, corporations. almost to a one, they LOVE runmyerrand.com and are huge advocates of the service.
(1) 2-color logo
(2) black & white versions: 1 blk on white, 2nd white on blk
the color palette we have been, and will continue, working with = #7CB21E, #024C89, #1f9ffc, #627C25, and #C85722. Not all of these colors need to be used.
see http://www.runmyerrand.com for color reference.
feel free to use a simple rabbit image or icon in your design, although this is not required. if you do use a rabbit reference, please keep it simple. we will be printing this logo on hard-to-print-on surfaces such as clothing so anything too detailed won't work for us.
the final logos should be delivered in .eps, .jpg and .png file formats.
