Mosi Systems
Mosi Systems is a new company that helps organizations take advantage of their diverse data and apply advanced analytics for greater insight and to make better decisions. We bring business and IT expertise together to create meaningful frameworks to merge structured and unstructured data. We help companies take action based on data and evidence by giving them nuanced views of their operations, customers and markets.
The name Mosi itself comes from "Mosi-oa-Tunya" which is the local name for Victoria Falls in Zambia. Mosi-oa-Tunya literally means "smoke that thunders." We think this is a fun analogy for the truth we reveal behind data-- everybody knows there's something there, but initially it's a challenge to make sense of it all.
Our target market is large organizations (companies, not for profits and government agencies) that are struggling making sense of their data. Within these organizations our target audience consists of a mix of marketing, data management and business intelligence.
We would like a professional-looking logo that reflects the business-to-business nature of our market. We want something modern, clean and sleek. The typeface should be simple and easy to read.
The logo will be used almost exclusively in digital media: our web site, our Twitter avatar, etc. We will also use the logo on our business cards.
One approach that seems like a possibility is using the "M" and "Mosi" in some combination. Other possible visual options would include anything that bring to mind notions of data, analysis or linking.
While you shouldn't feel limited, Trebuchet MS is a font we like.
Please feel free to experiment with colors.
The files we will require are:
Print file format - .ai (CMYK)
Web file format - .jpg and layered .psd (RGB)
