EVscale
We are a consulting company for electric vehicle technology, mostly focused on battery technology. Customers are large automotive firms and suppliers, in the US, Europe, and China.
UPDATE (12 hours in): I'm discovering that the cube and square shapes aren't working for me. I am looking for a more dynamic concept, that evokes more of a feeling of motion.
UPDATE (3 hours in): I'm seeing a lot of great ideas that incorporate "EV" into the design. I admit this was what I initially implied... I'd be excited to see more logo concepts that are less (or not at all) about the letters, and more evocative of the ideas of cars, electrification, batteries, growth, manufacturing, etc. I'm not opposed to creative usage of "EV," and I'm excited with many of the concepts, but I'm seeing a lot of variations on common themes there. Dare to be different!
I generally like the idea of the E being a battery, but am excited to see other ideas as well. Please no lightning bolts in the design. I know it's tempting, but they're a bit cliche, and generally don't look clean. I could see the V either being a check-mark, or a symbol showing growth (up and to the right), but don't stay limited to those ideas.
I would like a design that can work well both with and without the word "Scale." Something that can be adapted into a favicon, or used in other spaces where size is constrained.
