We are the Advertising and Promotion Commission in the City of Bella Vista, Arkansas. We are a governmental agency that collects tax on lodging and restaurants, and we then use those funds to promote Bella Vista as a recreational destination to visit, a great place to do business, and a potential place where visitors will want to move. Our target audience is people who are interested in active, healthy outdoor lifestyles, particularly hiking, mountain biking, trail running, fishing, lake swimming, boating, golfing and camping, and businesses that cater to and serve those people. Our city is interesting in that it is not gridded like our neighboring cities, but wooded with rolling hills, twisty roads and deep ravines. We are primarily residential, after being founded as a retirement destination in 1965. However, we incorporated to a city in 2007 and in the last five years or so, our demographics have shifted dramatically and we are now home to young families and corporate professionals who seek our city for its beauty, natural setting and affordable housing. With the edition of 40 miles of mountain biking trails in 2016, and more than 100 more miles of trails planned for the future, we have joined northwest Arkansas as a mecca for mountain biking and have attracted biking and other trail enthusiasts from all over the country and internationally. We are seeking to brand ourselves as a recognizable destination for outdoor fun and excitement year round.
