The Brief In Detail:
The brand draws it’s name from the famous linear equation y=a+bx. We are primarily a data science and analytics company who will offer solutions to banks and telecom operators and bring them together to solve the equation of financial inclusion.
The brand will enter the micro-lending / micro-credit / micro loans / digital credit space starting but not limited to Africa. The brand will eventually extend its services in other emerging countries including India, SEA and LATAM.
What does the brand stand for? What does it achieve? What bigger problem in the world does it solve? What’s our vision?
To write the next chapter of Financial Inclusion.
To create next gen solutions for banks and telcos combining our in-depth telecom data understanding and advanced data sciences.
Will the brand itself provide service to end consumer or partner with others? Is it B2C or B2B? Who does it partners with? What is the nature of this partnership?
It’ll be a B2B brand in nature. The brand will not directly provide services to end consumer. The brand will partner with Banks and the telecom operators to enable the services starting with micro-credit. The banks will provide money for credit thereby extending their customer base. The telecom operator will launch the service mostly as part of their existing mobile money services. Telecom operators will also help the brand with required data.
What capability does brand offer to its customers? Is it unique?
Data Analytics led reliable Credit Scoring. The brand will utilize multiple data sources like social, digital, telecom data, etc. to build an individual credit score due to lack of the formal banking data of the under-banked/un-banked. No we are not unique in our offering.
Then, what’s brand USP and edge over competitors?
Domain understanding inheriting from Comviva and strong data analytics capability to produce reliable credit score for banks to trust. We know telecom and their data much better than anyone else. Also telecom can trust us better with their valuable data owing to long term relationship and trust with Comviva.
