jacobwolfman got their new logo design by running a design contest:
Create a logo for the world's premiere Martial Arts Media Production House!
Check out jacobwolfman's Logo design contest…
We are a media production house that specializes in photography and videography for martial arts schools, events and companies. Particularly catered towards karate/taekwondo styles. We are a startup company aiming to be the worlds' premiere media production house for the martial arts industry. We film for martial arts schools, national/world tournaments, and international martial arts brands.
Other color requirements
I'd like to explore the following colors: Yellows (Energy, intellect, fun and youth.) Let designers make suggestions Dark neutrals (Formality, mystery, exclusivity and luxury.)
We need to find a creative way to illustrate that this company is professional, clean, modern, relevant and all our media production is rooted in martial arts. We need to incorporate martial arts and media production into an iconic image. We do not need the logo to use stereotypical martial arts imagery, however we do want to use values of martial arts to illustrate our production house's brand. Our production house produces content that is powerful, confident, strong, balanced, professional, epic, and legendary. We want a logo that is simple, symbolic and represents all of these values. The Nike Swoosh, the NFL shield, the Jaguar luxury car, Rolex... Miramax, The Weinstein Company, Legendary Pictures... these are some logos to work from for inspiration. Bonus challenge... If you can find a slick, possibly subliminal/abstract or non-obvious way to incorporate the attached icon into the logo design, that would be really great... not necessary... but really great. It's possible this icon could be the primary focal point of the entirety of the logo, but if it's hidden within the logo (like the hidden 'arrow' in the FedEx logo or the hidden '31' in the Baskin Robbins logo), that would be great too. We want to present the image of "we film the best martial arts videos in the industry" and with a logo that's iconic and memorable. Further notes-- We've seen a few designs that attempt to transform the "M" from Martial into a Fist. Wondering if there is a way to use the "M" from Martial as a fist and then use the "S" from studios to represent the filmming/production element of the company... Thank you very much!
