Please note that as of 20/11/2015, I have reset the competition back to the start, and revised the brief. The reason for this is I did not feel that I articulated my expectations well enough and as a result, did not feel that many of the entries portrayed the message that I intended. This was entirely my fault. I am committed to the competition and would love to see some more creative entries based on the updated brief below. Thanks to all who have already contributed, I look forward to selecting from some great logos into the next round.
The logo is for a magazine style website focusing in informing, advising and helping small businesses to understand their Information Technology needs.
The target audience is members of the small to medium business community who rely on Information Technology for their business operations (basically all small businesses) but, either have to manage it themselves with little knowledge, or rely on outside IT service companies to provide information and services
The site is about informing and assisting the target audience to make decisions relating to their IT and to demystify their IT infrastructure.
The core values of the site, which I would like the winning logo to try to represent are:
- the demystifying of IT for small business
- assist in the alignment of Information technology with business operations and processes
- simplifying IT for small business
- informing small business in the area of IT
- it is envisioned that the site will be a "hub" for small business in relation to their IT needs
I would really like a logo which graphically represents one of core values in a creating and clear way.
What I would like to avoid in the logo design is a totally generic image that does not represent anything, or does attempt to portray anything about the goals or values of the website.
Thank you all in advance.
