Our target clients are enterprises. Mainly investors and consulting firms, meaning mainly private equity, hedge funds, mutual funds and consulting firms like Mckinsey.
We are building an online software platform, SaaS product for these users. We are focusing on a market, called the expert network market, in this space there are about 30 firms that provide the services that we call "expert networks" they manage and build curated networks of subject matter experts and provide them as needed to people who need to quickly understand markets and industries, ie. investors and consulting firms. There are many many firms that provide almost the exact service, meaning the same experts, and the only differentiation is the sales relationship or the pricing. Meaning it is a commoditized market. Mckinsey may have relationships with 25 expert networks, so each time they have a request on a new subject, they have to send 25 emails, and they get 25 emails in response from each individual company and its a huge time sink.
We are building a platform that will allow a firm like mckinsey to engage ONLY us, White Water Research, send they request on to us, we will send the request to each expert network. The expert networks will provide their suggested experts to us and we will present them all to the clients on one clean interface, providing transparency and clarity.
We are simplifying a highly complex process. We are about aggregation, we are taking a very complex set of processes and building one platform on which to manage all activity. Activity that is currently only carried out currently through email.
