Voice Cat LLC got their new logo design by running a design contest:
THIS cool Cat has a great Voice! Now needs a great logo for Voice Cat LLC, to come to life!
Check out Voice Cat LLC's Logo design contest…
Sophisticated. Resonant. The Cat's Meow.
Voice Over artist doing audiobooks, e-learning narration, and commercials. Target is audio & video production people and companies, ad agencies, more younger than older people in those companies.
Other color requirements
No yellow. It doesn't Xerox well.
What does the business do? · I am starting a new U.S. business in voice-over acting, which provides services to businesses for narration (e-learning, safety learning, audio books), commercial and institutional :15, :30, and :60 second spots. · The company is solving where to get a voice artist that responds quickly with a professional and effective voice to make their customer look great. Target audience – · Customers wanting a resonant, sophisticated voice that promotes their brand. · My customer comes when the demo of my voice fits what the customer believes will promote their brand. Objectives – · My design will foster remembrance of my voice, my service, and/or to be curious to hear my voice. · The design will be on every piece of communication. · Voice over is not a “to the public” industry. · The design could be measured in website hits and an increase in recognition, remembrance, and an increase in business. Visual Style – · The Voice Cat LLC logo needs to catch the eye and create curiosity and a smile. · I believe the logo needs to catch a younger person's (<35 years old) eye, but not insult the over 36 crowd, because it's usually the < 35 years old crowd who are the people looking for VO talent to recommend to their boss. So if the logo catches the younger, but not piss off the older, then the logo wins. Aesthetic - · I want the logo to be obvious, simple, not too quiet, but a fairly modern and playfully younger logo. · I want the logo to look just as great on an invoice as it would on a t-shirt or as a sticker on a flash drive without any loss in clarity, in both four color and black & white. Context – · I hope the design will set Voice Cat LLC apart from other VO artists. · So many VO businesses are named “Voices by xxx” or 'Jane Doe VO'. · Therefore, naming the company with something snappy with an equally impressive logo and not the ordinary and usual VO business would imply a different type of VO artist. Content – · The name “Voice Cat LLC” needs to be evident along with the Cat in the design. · The Cat supports and provides connection to the name “Voice Cat LLC”. How much cat or which body parts are part of the design? The answer is: enough that it is painfully obvious that it's a cat. And the cat has to be just as discernible as a sticker on a free flash drive as it is on an 8 ½” x 11” sheet of paper in both four color and black & white. And try to stay away from inserting a microphone into the design. Microphones are overused. BUT if you want to design in a microphone, that's fine, just have the same design without the microphone. · Applications for the logo will be: Business cards, invoices, postcards, plastic backdrop for Skype situations, t-shirts, polo shirts, postcards, a label on a flash drive, a plastic backdrop during a TV interview and anything else. · The t-shirts would probably be screen printed and the polo shirts would probably be stitched onto the shirt. I know Adobe Illustrator would be necessary for the plastic backdrop during a Skype interview. · I would like a 3D cat…something with some depth, like the white and off white cat images below. The logo does NOT have to have a whole cat or even a house cat, it can be parts of a cat, as long as it’s obvious that it’s a cat. After all, the company name is Voice Cat LLC. The type of cat that I would not like are the orange and mustard colored 2D cats shown below. Plus, finally, the color of the cat is whatever works with the design. It could be purple. * And I could be off base on how it would all design and look. That's why you're the designer. Please do not use the images below, as they are protected work. Thanks very much. I look forward to seeing your work. UPDATE 21-Apr-15**** Seems like I'm not communicating well about a 'cool' cat or a cat with 'attitude'. I have uploaded 6 photos of cats with attitude. They don't look sad. They don't look happy. They look like they command respect, because they are cool and confident. Their eyes are focused on you and only you. I don't need a full body cat, but I don't want just a head. Like head and shoulders centered above "Voice Cat llc", then the tag line. Thanks.
