We're from Stuttgart, Germany, the name is Parklifetools and we're focussing our business to one single product: the Conceptboard.
We did lots of software development in the past, and often had the problem of having visual and textual artifacts in different media (e.g. you have a design in PDF and multiple email comments referring to it). So we decided to build the ConceptPEN (German only) to solve this problem - it's kind of a whiteboard with focus on commenting. Many people liked it, so now we're starting an international version of this tool, with additional project features especially for web agencies and companies.
Conceptboard will be the website's and the company's name. And those multi-user whiteboards, where you can share your visual artifacts/post comments and tasks/invite people (...) are called conceptboards, too. Therefor it would be nice, to have a more or less abstract "Conceptboard" icon (or something alike) in the logo itself. The design should be simple and clean. The website will be light - white/grey/blue, something similar to what http://www.conceptpen.com is now, but based on your logo and much prettier ;)
Ok, hope you have fun designing this brand. We're very curious about your ideas!
The market is
1. creative people who use Photoshop, Basecamp and some fancy web tools
2. those business folks who use Webex or Lotus Notes
We would like to primarily address designers and web/print agencies (see 1). But the logo should work with architects and software developers, too (see 2). Company size is small to medium.
Conceptboard is a project tool around "multi-user web whiteboards".
Those "whiteboards" will be called "conceptboards", so perhaps it would be nice to have a more or less abstract "Conceptboard" as an icon in the logo.
The logo should fit in a clean/light website design (something like http://www.conceptpen.com - but prettier ;)
Conceptboard will be a completely new brand, so you are free to have fun.
