Cedar Point Financial Services
Cedar Point Financial Services. I am a designer working with a financial planner to come up with an identity and logo for his new company, Cedar Point Financial Services. The company will no longer be part of Northwestern Mutual and therefore needs its own identity.
The company gives very personal attention to it's clients in helping them navigate through life, planning for their financial security through insurance and making wise decisions for estate planning and financial investments.
The client, Todd Robison, is an avid boater and very personable. He belongs to a yacht club called Cedar Point which is where he got the name for the company from.
The target audience is a very high end market, people with a net worth in the millions. They are sophisticated people used to the best services in the world. The logo for the company and the accompanying website will need to be clean and sophisticated but have some flair.
For more information on the type of businesses, go to the existing website, http://www.toddrobison.com which will be redesigned once we come up with a logo.
The logo must have the words: Cedar Point Financial Services
There can be a tag line saying "Leading the Way" but this doesn't necessarily need to be part of the logo and can be added in later in the stationery and website.
One approach is to focus on the Cedar Tree as a symbol: a strong, mature force that can weather any storm. This is what financial planning is: your finances can handle the ups and downs in life.
I am uploading a pdf of various images of cedar trees. I am looking for an original graphic illustration (don't copy these exactly) of a cedar tree maybe on a rocky point in water with reflections like on page 1, or maybe just a rocky point like the green illustrations on page 2. The image should be graphic (not realistic looking) and simple; not too much detail.
I am open to other ideas as well.
For color, we want a green or a blue logo that could have black or gray as a secondary color. Or a green and blue logo.
The color should be sophisticated, not too bright. No reds, purples, oranges, etc.
For text, classic, clean, formal typefaces would be appropriate. It is a financial services company. A typeface that implies security and wealth.
The logo will need to be in color and a black and white version too. It will need to be placed on stationery, brochures, other collateral materials and work well on a newly designed website.
