FreelanceCatapult.com will be a website where aspiring freelance start-ups, as well as existing freelancers can come for information on how to launch or expand their business. The website will feature videos, podcasts, downloadable guides, calculators, etc.
We are considering using the branding statement “Launch your new or existing Freelance business to new heights.” Hence, we want the logo to reflect the concept of – launching, moving upward, moving ahead, etc
The audience segments from largest to smallest are:
(1) People who have a fulltime career, but want to earn additional income by starting a new part-time freelancing business
(2) People want to start a full-time freelancing career
(3) People who already have an established freelance business (either full or part-time) and want to grow and expand.
We want an exciting logo that expresses “rapid growth”, “reaching new heights”, etc. We are open to including an actual catapult somehow in the logo, but it is not required. Anything exciting is open for consideration, as long as the logo looks professional.
The logo can be just the name with the branded look mentioned above. Or, it could be the name, plus a graphic image. If possible, we want to use the entire name with the .com at the end.
Since the name is long, we are open to separating “Freelance” and “Catapult” with a space. Or, using different colors for the words. Or using a slightly different style … ie bold vs. unbold.
We are especially interested in logos that have dual meaning, but not necessarily literal meaning. See http://www.fuelyourcreativity.com/3…-them-all/ for inspirational examples.
Attached are some rough concepts we have been working on thus far. We would like to see people refine these. However, we are also 100% OPEN to new and different concepts as well.
The winning designer will need to submit color and b&w high res png, jpg, and psd file with layers. In addition, we need a second version re-cut (possibly with Freelance on first line and Catapult on a second line) that will fit more in a square format such as a facebook fan page logo.
